Adept 2013 contains many new features to increase productivity through collaboration, fast access to documents and data, and easy document management while maintaining safe and secure control over your intellectual property and business processes. This release contains several enhancements to our CAD integrations, support for the 2013 suite of Autodesk products, significant performance improvements and several other customer-requested new features and fixes.
Support for AutoCAD 2013, Inventor 2013, AutoCAD Electrical 2013
This release provides full integration, task pane, and viewer support of all the Autodesk 2013 products supported by Adept.
Adept’s Built-In Visualization Software Updated
AutoVue 3D professional, Adept’s built-in enterprise visualization tool, has been updated. This latest version of the viewer adds: Support for AutoCAD 2013-based products, Autodesk Inventor 2013, Microsoft Office 2010 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook formats.
Other new formats include:
CAD Task Pane Enhancements
In addition to adding support for the latest versions of AutoCAD-based products and Autodesk Inventor, several new features have been added to the Adept Task Pane inside the Autodesk applications and SolidWorks 2012.
Task Pane enhancements include:
Check for Reference Files with Changed Status Added
A new option is provided in the Task Pane that compares the Adept status of any opened files’ references when the file is opened to the current Adept status of the referenced files. A dialog shows a listing of any files where an opened Adept status has changed from the current Adept status. This allows you to get a refreshed version of those files.
Multiple Performance Improvements
Adept Web Clients Easier to Install, Configure and Maintain
The Adept Web Clients (Adept Explorer and Adept Reviewer) now use the application server that comes with AutoVue 3D Professional, Adept’s integrated Viewer, rather than Glassfish, a 3rd party product.
This change makes installation, upgrades, and configuration of the AutoVue server easier. With this change, AutoVue easily accepts private certificates (self-signed certificates) in addition to the public key certificates that are already supported. This means that customers can now create and use their own self-signed certificates rather than purchasing them from an external source, like VeriSign.
Transmittal Distribution List Details Available on Cover Letter
Adept’s Transmittal feature has been updated. It is now possible to place details about each contact in your transmittal distribution lists onto the Transmittal cover letter. With this new section of data there is also a Distribution List Header section that will repeat on each page in the event the list of contacts in the distribution list spans multiple pages.
